I love old things. My mind immediately goes to work trying to imagine the stories of who created them, the path they took to get here, and who may have possessed them. The pendant in this necklace was found in an antique store, almost completely blackened by tarnish, only the purple gleam from the amethysts were visible. The shape of the pendant had me thinking it was a 1920s piece, but the big surprise was the fleur de lis motifs that were revealed once I had the piece cleaned! To this Jazz age beauty I added sterling silver hill tribe beads, hematite, Czech and Swarovski crystals, and a sterling silver clasp, to give this vintage pendant, with it’s unknowable backstory, a chance for a whole new chapter.
